The AGM/Members' Day will be held on Saturday, 17 April at the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust headquarters at The Wolseley Centre, Wolseley Bridge, Stafford ST17 0WT. All Badger Groups are cordially invited to attend. Members' Day will start at 11.00am and the doors open at 10.30am. Details of speakers will be announced shortly. Drinks of tea and coffee will be provided free of charge, and a buffet lunch will be available at £6.00 per head. We attach the minutes of the last AGM together with a booking form, a provisional agenda and a note regarding literature and fundraising requirements.
We hope that by holding the AGM/Members day in Staffordshire, which is central for all areas, Badger Groups throughout the country will be able to attend. Books of tickets for the annual prize draw will be available for groups to collect at the AGM. We urge you to distribute as many of these as possible to help us raise much needed funds. There will also be a small raffle on the day.
All full member groups are able to submit motions, either at the AGM or at the General Meeting that is held at our annual conference. The Directors would prefer motions to be presented at the General Meeting where more groups are represented. However we will consider accepting motions for the AGM, providing they are proposed and seconded and the details are sent to the Chief Executive of the Trust via the Badger Trust Office before March 30th.
Any motions proposing changes to our Memoranda or Articles of Association require 12 weeks' notice and can be considered at the General Meeting. This will be held on Saturday, August 14th on the evening of the Badger Trust Conference at Ardingly College, West Sussex. Motions for the General Meeting should be proposed and seconded and the details sent to the Chief Executive of the Trust via the Badger Trust Office before May 30th.
Badger Trust is the only charity solely dedicated to the conservation of badgers across Great Britain.
